We advise a multinational joint venture that was created to construct, develop and operate a large mining project in Peru and subsequently had a dispute with one of its original equipment manufacturers over faults with the design, manufacture and supply of key equipment that was crucial to the operation of the mine.
The dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of an ICC arbitration in New York and worth in excess of USD300m.
